New Ventures Preparation for Succession Planning in Akwa Ibom State

New Ventures are the major contributors to development of economy many nations especially in terms job creation and revenue generation. However, they plagued with high mortality rate which one culprits is lack succession planning. As such, this study aims examine how new ventures owners Akwa Ibom State prepare for ensure continuity their businesses absence due retirement or sudden death key personnels. Using a descriptive design, 300 respondents were examined through purposive sampling method findings indicate that planning mentoring, training, active learning, feedback assignment. capable hands charge business activities event vacancy, personnel. The concludes if preparation mode as pointed out by entrepreneurs continued, issue venture will be reduced not completely eliminated.
